Electrical Apprentices are key to Australia’s future. From rolling out the National Broadband Network, to building our electricity grid of tomorrow, to safely wiring our homes, electrical apprentices are at the heart of the solution to the big challenges facing our country.
Despite this, electrical apprentices are some of the lowest paid workers in the country, earning as little as $7.22 an hour or $274 a week. That’s less than half the minimum wage and $185 below the poverty line – regardless of how old they are.
Stand Up hits the NT! From the 4th till the 6th of June, Stand Up will be travelling across the Territory, building momentum for our campaign.
